Do you take custom orders?

Yes. Custom orders are a big part of Blind Man Creations. I create personalised signs, timber artwork, portraits, memorial pieces, gifts and one-off commissions. If you have an idea, send me a message and I'll let you know what's possible.

How long does a custom order take?

Lead times vary depending on the size and complexity of the project and current workload. I'll always give you an estimated completion date before starting your order and keep you updated throughout the process.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact me as soon as possible and include photos of the packaging and damage. I'll work with you to resolve any genuine shipping damage or manufacturing faults as quickly as possible.

What sizes are available?

From small gift signs through to large feature wall art and multi-panel artworks, most pieces can be customised to suit your available space.

Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes. I regularly ship throughout Australia. Shipping costs depend on the size and destination of your order. Local pickup around Mildura is also available.

What timber do you use?

I work with a variety of quality timbers including Australian hardwoods such as Red Gum, Blackwood, Spotted Gum, Victorian Ash and other suitable species depending on the project.

Will my piece look exactly like the photos?

Every piece is individually handcrafted. Timber grain, colour, knots and natural character vary from board to board, making every piece genuinely one of a kind.

Can you create artwork from my photo?

Absolutely. Clear, high-resolution photos produce the best results. If your photo isn't suitable for carving, I'll suggest the best option before any work begins.

How do I care for my timber artwork?

Indoor pieces: Keep your artwork out of prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat and damp conditions. Dust with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Outdoor pieces: Each outdoor piece is sealed with a high-quality polyurethane finish for added protection against the elements. To maximise its life, display it in a sheltered location where possible and avoid constant exposure to harsh weather. Over time, all exterior timber finishes will naturally weather and may require recoating to maintain their appearance and protection.

As each piece is handcrafted from natural timber, subtle changes in colour, grain and texture over time are part of its unique character.

How are custom orders priced?

Pricing depends on the size, timber, design complexity, carving time and finishing required. Every custom project is individually quoted.
